Southern Belle from New Orleans now in Lostwithiel, Cornwall, how did that happen? You’ll need to pop in & ask…

Once upon a time I wanted to start a workroom to remake old clothes. I was going to call it “Redeaux” after the old Cajun joke spelling of Phydeaux (Fido). That is until my husband pointed out it would be pronounced Re-dough and not re-do. And another great idea gets busted. C’est la vie. Although a name change was inevitable my hope of having a workroom lived on and somehow has morphed into Sweet Magnolias. Without a single regret I love my little shop and have, at last, created my first REDEAUX!!

Occasionally I look in my wardrobe and wonder why I ever bought that “thing.” You know, the one that’s still hanging in the back with the tag on it.  I take it out, shake it a few times, might even try it on again.  But it never really gets out and goes anywhere.

I’ve an abundance of beauties that must move on.

Closets are stuffed, drawers are filled, shoes seem to be breeding in the dark corners.  Friends and neighbors apparently believe I need more and so I have a variety of sizes – bless ‘em.  My advice to you, have a seat on a hot day with a cold glass of sweet ice tea and browse my collection.  May you find something you just love, and please, let it move to your place.
